Inaugurated in 1997 with an ethnic-inspired women's collection, DAY rapidly gained national and international recognition and hit the front pages of fashion magazines around the world. The brand's bohemian yet modern style featuring fine tailoring and fabrics and detailed embellishment soon caught on with a clientele eager for designs with a story to tell.
Today, DAY is a full-fledged fashion house comprising 4 brand lines that are continuously nurtured and developed by brand founder Keld Mikkelsen to ensure that DAY continually remains at the fore of fashion. DAY Birger et Mikkelsen´s headquarters, situated in a beautiful five storey townhouse at Kongens Nytorv in the heart of Copenhagen, feels like a familyhome. And family is the ethos behind the brand, says Keld Mikkelsen, who founded the company in 1997.
